Writers and directors have held a protest in the Eye film museum in Amsterdam to show solidarity with the striking writers in Hollywood. Since May, the members of the Writers Guild of America have been campaigning for better salaries and copyrights. The protesters want a fair rate for the work they do and believe that the compensation for screenwriters falls short of the profit that studios, channels and streaming services make.
