More than 50% of European directors of TV and SVOD fiction have directed at least one feature film, according to a new report from the European Audiovisual Observatory. The report also shows that between 2015 and 2021, more than 22,500 writers and 15,000 directors were involved in the production of European cinema films and TV/SVOD fiction. The TV/SVOD fiction industry proved to be more resilient during the COVID-19 crisis than the feature film industry.
