The Dutch film Mascotte, starring Maartje Remmers and Leopold Witte, won the Best Cinematography award at the New York Independent Film Festival (for cameraman Mark van Aller). Mascotte is the first film by director Remy van Heugten since his multiple Kalf winner Gluckauf in 2015.
