The North American rights of the coming-of-age film "Mascotte" have been acquired by Sumerian. The film is about the radical teenager Jerry who endangers not only himself, but also his family. Sumerian plans to release the film under the English title "Fortunate Son" in a limited edition later this year. It is the second acquisition for Sumerian's new film and streaming division. The film is written by Gustaaf Peek, directed by Remy van Heugten and produced by Joram Willink for Bind in the Netherlands.
