Director Kees Schaap, who made a documentary about cancel culture together with Fidan Ekiz, no longer wants to collaborate with BNNVARA. The documentary was originally supposed to be shown at BNNVARA, but after a dispute between the two parties, it became Omroep MAX. Schaap does not feel safe enough with the current management of BNNVARA. In the documentary, Ekiz and Schaap look for the relationship between the cancel culture and the increased polarization.
