The animated film festival Framed in Forum Groningen offers a broad program with more than a hundred short and long animation films, introductions, talks, masterclasses, VR Cinema, a pub quiz and an Industry Day. The festival opens with the Norwegian-Belgian animation film Titina, which follows the perspective of a dog on board a zeppelin. Framed also focuses on the development of animation in documentaries, including the Oscar-nominated film Flee and the animated documentary Aurora's Sunshine. The festival also shows a retrospective of anime great Makato Shinkai and the anime classic Bella.
