2022 was the year of Robert-Jonathan Koeyers (1992) and Kevin Osepa (1994). Kevin won a Golden Calf with his short film La Última Ascensión, realized within the fund scheme De Korte Verbeelding. Robert-Jonathan's film It's Nice in Here, realized with a Wildcard, was selected for Cannes and ended up on the shortlist of the Oscars in the category best short animated film. Both makers have Curaçao roots and went to art school, respectively photography and animation. Absaline Hehakaya, Selective Funding project manager at the Film Fund, asks how they experienced their first, so successful steps in the film sector and their collaboration with the Film Fund.
