A majority of the House of Representatives seems to be in favor of a watered-down version of the investment obligation for streaming services. The percentage of the Dutch turnover that streaming services have to pay for Dutch films and series has been reduced from 6% to 5%. Less money is also going to Dutch films and series from independent producers. The streaming services are no longer obliged to invest all their money in films, series and documentaries.
