The tax investigation FIOD and the European police service Europol have dismantled an illegal internet TV service that had hundreds of thousands of subscribers. The service was offered from Den Helder and customers paid about 10 euros per month to illegally watch more than 10,000 TV channels and streaming services such as Netflix, Viaplay, Videoland, ESPN and Disney +. Four people have been arrested and large amounts of cash have been seized, as well as computer equipment, five cars, administration and bank accounts.
