Eleven thousand film and television writers in Hollywood went on strike on May 2 because of failed negotiations for better salaries and contracts in the streamer era. The writers use quirky protest signs with nods to famous film quotes to reinforce their message. The strike has already led to production delays on Game of Thrones prequel, Stranger Things and Marvel film Blade.
