The European Union supports innovation in XR technology with €5.6 million through the EMIL project. EMIL is a joint project of four European academic institutions, each specialized in XR technology. EMIL's goal is to support young innovators, startups, researchers and academics and accelerate developments in the field of XR. The project started in September 2022 and will last 30 months. The EU is financing third parties with €5.6 million for 14 to 18 projects.
