The Belgian film 'The Eight Mountains', directed by Felix Van Groeningen and Charlotte Vandermeersch, won no fewer than four awards, including 'Best Film', at the 68th Italian 'David di Donatello' Film Awards in Rome. It is remarkable that non-Italians win these awards and it is also Vandermeersch's directorial debut. The film is about the friendship between two Italian boys from the city and the Alps and is currently doing well in the United States and the United Kingdom.
