During the Spring meeting in the Ketelhuis, the investment obligation for streamers such as Netflix and Amazon to invest a percentage of their turnover in Dutch productions was discussed. It took more than four years before a concrete proposal could be discussed in the House of Representatives. The bill aims to have streaming services invest 4.5% of their annual turnover in the Netherlands in Dutch films and series.
