The film adaptation of the novel 'The eight mountains' by Felix van Groeningen and Charlotte Vandermeersch is a success in the United States. On its opening weekend in New York, the film had the strongest start of any European release this year, grossing an estimated $30,000. The film was previously awarded the Jury Prize at the 75th Cannes Film Festival.
