Television producer Roel Kooi has been appointed Knight in the Order of Orange-Nassau for his special services to the Dutch media sector. Kooi was co-founder of production company Tuvalu Media and was the driving force behind the Oscar-nominated feature film Rundskop. He was also chairman of the umbrella organization of television producers and closely involved in the establishment of TV Academy.
