Flemish films attracted more than 1.8 million visitors to cinemas in 2021, more than 2.5 times as many as in 2020. The most popular film was 'Zillion', with 573,771 cinemagoers. The Flemish Audiovisual Fund (VAF) calls it a historic year for Flemish film, because 87% of visitors went to a VAF production. The VAF not only supports audiovisual productions, but also podcasts and game productions.
