The Cannes Film Festival has revealed the full selection for the 2023 edition. Competition titles include new films from directors such as Todd Haynes, Alice Rohrwacher, Ken Loach, Catherine Brillat, Wes Anderson and Nuri Bilge Ceylan. It is striking that Johnny Depp will be seen in the opening film Jeanne du Barry, in which he plays a French-speaking role for the first time. The festival has also selected a record number of female directors, including Catherine Breillat, Jessica Hausner, Kaouther Ben Hania, Justine Triet and Alice Rohrwacher.
