Ben Sombogaart directs the historical feature film Contrary, about the forbidden love between a textile worker from Twente and an Italian immigrant in the 1960s. The leading roles are played by Emma Josten and Mehdi Meskar, among others. The recordings started in Lancashire, England and will subsequently take place in Twente. The film is produced by Nijenhuis & Co in collaboration with Omroep MAX and will be shown in cinemas next year.
