Maurice de Hond has lost a lawsuit against the makers of the film and podcast about the Deventer murder case. The pollster felt that the creators deliberately wanted to damage him and demanded that the titles should no longer be available to the public. However, the judge agreed with the makers' arguments and ruled against De Hond. The film and podcast are based on a book by journalist Bas Haan from 2009 and revolve around the murder of the widow Wittenberg in 1999.
