Professional associations of producers are calling on the House of Representatives to stick to the core of the Investment Obligation Bill. The proposal must ensure that streaming services operating in the Netherlands invest at least 4.5% of their annual turnover generated in the Netherlands in Dutch feature films, documentaries and series. The manufacturing sector is concerned about the proposed broadening of the type of offerings in which streamers should invest and the threat of undermining the autonomy and operating position of the independent manufacturing sector.
