Since its inception in 2014, the Film Production Incentive has generated more than €783 million in production expenditure, according to the annual monitor. Striking is the considerable increase in expenditure for the production of High End TV series, which rose from 29.9 million to 46.1 million euros. The scheme is intended to stimulate international cooperation, professionalism and production activity in the Netherlands and strengthens the international competitive position of the Netherlands as an attractive film production country.
