After a three-year closure and a two-year renovation, The Movies, the oldest cinema in Amsterdam still in use, is reopening. The cinema has received a much-needed refurbishment, but the look of 'little Tuschinski' has remained intact. Room 4 has been completely rebuilt and room 1 has been fitted with new LED lighting, cassette ceiling, screen, laser projector and up-to-date sound system. The air conditioning system has also been modernised.
