Uzbek artist Saodat Ismailova has won the Eye Art & Film Prize 2022 and her exhibition 18,000 Worlds is currently on view at the Eye Filmmuseum in Amsterdam. Her work is refreshing, urgent and involved, but also specific and tangible. Ismailova's fascinations lie in Central Asia, whose borders are drawn differently by different people and institutions. The exhibition also includes historical Uzbek films that have been included in Eye's collection for restoration and archiving.
