Veerle Baetens' feature debut, the film adaptation of Lize Spit's bestseller Hetmelt, has been selected for the World Cinema Dramatic competition of the Sundance Film Festival (January 19-29). The Eight Mountains by Felix van Groeningen and Charlotte Vandermeersch, winner of the Jury Prize in Cannes, will also go to Sundance and will be screened in the Spotlight section. It's been since 2016, when also with Felix van Groeningen with Belgica, that a Flemish film was screened in competition at the American festival.
