From Monday 14 to Sunday 20 November, a delegation from the Film Fund traveled to Suriname for the first time together with the Netherlands Film Commission. The kick-off of the DocuLab '10 for 50' project took place there in collaboration with The Back Lot Foundation. Earlier this year, in the context of 50 years of independence from Suriname in 2025, Surinamese (prospective) makers were called upon to submit documentary ideas that accurately reflect the broad reflection of Surinamese society and culture.
