Marieke van der Pol switched from acting to screenwriting 25 years ago. Since then, she has been responsible for the screenplays of De Tweeling (2002), Bride Flight (2008), Everything flows (2009) and Bankier van het Verzet (2018, in collaboration with Thomas van der Ree). This year she returns with Zee van Tijd (2022), a strong drama directed by Theu Boermans about a young couple who lose their child. The film opens the Dutch Film Festival on September 21 and can be seen throughout the country from October 13.
