During a remarkably turbulent awards ceremony, the anniversary book 25 Encounters was declared the best film publication of the year. It was by far the most turbulent awards ceremony in the eighteen-year history of the Louis Hartlooper Prize for Best Film Publication. Never before has a winner been angrily reprimanded there, as happened to IFFR director Marjan van der Haar.
