The awards ceremony at the Venice Film Festival proved once again that juries are unpredictable entities. It was not the widely acclaimed debut Saint Omer or Jafar Panahi's masterful No Bears that won the Golden Lion, but Laura Poitras' documentary All the Beauty and the Bloodshed.
