The Belgians have scored at the Cannes Film Festival. Lukas Dhont's 'Close' won the Grand Prix, the so-called silver medal. Earlier in the evening, 'Le Otto Montagne' by Felix Van Groeningen and Charlotte Vandermeersch won the jury prize and the Dardenne brothers received the 'Prix du 75ème', a one-off occasional prize in honor of the 75th festival edition. However, the main prize - the Golden Palm - went to 'Triangle Of Sadness' by the Swedish director Ruben Östlund.
