With her film adaptation of the novel Muidhond, Flemish director Patrice Toye (52) tackles a daring subject: the agonies of a young pedophile. At the premiere, she was initially quite tense about the audience's reactions. "I was even afraid that people would throw rotten fish heads at me," said the filmmaker. “But fortunately the reactions of the people were not too bad. Many understood what I wanted to say with my film. The film even won the audience award at that festival. That reassured me enormously.”
