Ingrid van Tol will become director of the Dutch Directors Guild (DDG) as of December 1, 2019. With the appointment of Van Tol, the DDG is taking the next step in the professionalization of the organization. The changing media landscape (such as the strong growth of online channels such as Netflix and Ziggo, new European legislation on copyright and levies) requires an alert attitude and active approach to the challenges and opportunities that currently exist. By exercising political influence at both national and European level, the DDG aims to strengthen the position of directors.
