Bero Beyer will become the new director/director of the Netherlands Film Fund as of March 1, 2020. He succeeds Doreen Boonekamp, whose maximum appointment term expires in October 2019. Bero Beyer has made his mark in the national and international film industry. He has been director of International Film Festival Rotterdam (IFFR) since 2015. Beyer will lead the festival in this capacity for the last time in January 2020. From 2013 to 2015, Bero Beyer also worked for the Film Fund as a feature film consultant. Previously, he was involved as a producer with his production company Augustus Film in feature films such as Rana's Wedding (Cannes 2002), Paradise Now (2005) and Atlantic. (2014).
