Wednesday, March 27, was the hundredth anniversary of Simon van Collem's birth in Amsterdam. On Thursday, April 18, Pim van Collem, Simon's son, received the first copy of the Film Yearbook, published for the 34th time, from Hans Beerekamp. In addition to the descriptions of all cinema films shown in Dutch cinemas in the past year, it contains, among other things, an overview compiled by André Waardenburg of the film programs that have been shown on Dutch television since 1955. From the old turnbox, presented by Simon van Collem for the first time for the VPRO in 1958, occupies a prominent place in this.
