On the day that his first feature film premieres, filmmaker Shady El-Hamus is remarkably calm. He still has to pick up his red velvet suit and go through his speech, but he can still have a cup of tea before a Tuschinski full of colleagues and loved ones goes to see De Libi. “I'm looking forward to it, but it's also fucking scary. I can start thinking about that too much. I will be very relieved when it's over,” he says, laughing.
