The media group Mediaset of the Italian entrepreneur-politician is moving to the Netherlands. Mediaset, the company of media magnate and former Prime Minister of Italy Silvio Berlusconi, will formally establish itself in the Netherlands. According to Mediaset, collaborations or acquisitions are necessary to be stronger in the competition with Netflix and other online video services. The Netherlands is a popular location for international holding companies because of its good facilities and interesting protection structures against hostile takeovers. The largely paper move should increase the possibilities for alliances in the media sector.
