The Dutch director Ate de Jong will adapt the book My best friend Anne Frank to a film. Variety reports this on Wednesday. The film is intended to be released in cinemas in 2020; 75 years after the end of the Second World War. The story is based on the memoirs of ninety-year-old Hannah Goslar, Anne Frank's Amsterdam friend.
