Three years ago, the Brazilian cast and crew of Aquarius protested on the red carpet at Cannes. Director Kleber Mendonça Filho called the impeachment proceedings against President Dilma Rousseff a coup and saw his country slide into a dictatorship. Filho had to deal with Rousseff's successor Temer. And now with Brazil's newest, far-right president. He is demanding a subsidy back from a film that Filho made in 2012 and which had its world premiere at the IFFR.
