Because of my connection with Jurriën Rood, I dared to pluck up the courage and approach the now Golden Calf winner Pieter Verhoeff (best film and best actress for: 'The Mark of the Beast') and we ended up in a lively conversation about film and Dutch film. He himself graduated from the Dutch Film Academy in 1966 and when he heard about my ambitions for the film academy, he became enthusiastic.
