In the context of talent development for new makers, the Dutch Film Fund has awarded eight contributions of € 10,000 within Vrijplaats for novice screenwriters. With the Free Place, the Fund stimulates the development of new writing talent and their film plans. In addition to a contribution for development, the writers are linked to a coach who will guide them throughout the process, both with regard to their motivated learning goals and with the development of their film plan. This year, 39 entries were submitted to the committee and eight places were available, double the number of last year.
