Film director Arne Toonen, known for films such as Dik Trom, De Boskampi's and Black Out, comes with 'Baantjer: The Beginning'. Detective Jurre de Cock, played by Waldemar Torenstra, returns to film: during the noisy 1980s full of social problems, squatter riots and demonstrations.
