The European Film Academy has changed the selection procedure for the feature films and documentaries for the European Film Awards. The adjustments decided by the EFA board lead to a smaller selection of films, a more democratic selection procedure and no longer a distinction between the various participating countries. Until now, EFA members from the 20 countries with the most members voted one film directly into the EFA feature film selection. This vote expires.
