Francis Ford Coppola will release a final cut of his war classic Apocalypse Now at the end of this month. The new version, which is being made on the occasion of the film's fortieth anniversary, will premiere at the Tribeca Film Festival, the festival announced on its own website. The website states that it is a remastered version. The original negative was used to display the film in 4K. In addition to color correction with Dolby Vision, the sound is mixed in the advanced Dolby Atmos.
