André Vroegindeweij, managing director of Pratensis Media, distributor of TV5MONDE and Rai Uno, among others, notices that cable operators keep cutting the retransmission fee. According to Vroegindeweij, this is worrying because it puts pressure on distribution. Vroegindeweij: 'We incur significant costs in terms of delivery, but especially in subtitling. The latter is necessary, since 56 percent of TV5MONDE viewers in the Netherlands are not French-speaking.'
