The US Department of Justice has warned the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences, the organization behind the Oscars, in a letter about the consequences of changing the rules surrounding the admission of films for the Oscars. The new proposed rules may unfairly exclude Netflix and other streaming services from participating in the Oscars.
