Tonke Dragt, whose famous children's book The Letter for the King is being made into a film by Netflix, did not know about the existence of the streaming service, she says in an interview with Trouw.
"I didn't know what that was. And now I have to live for a while until I see The Letter for the King on Netflix. At least the first episode, in 2020," said the 88-year-old author. According to Dragt, she has banned the makers of the Netflix series from doing some things. For example, she absolutely wanted no torture to occur. The writer was also not pleased with the plan to write Squire Piak out of the series.
