Agnès Varda has died in Paris at the age of 90. She was one of the extraheads of the Nouvelle Vague, of which she was the only woman in the 1960s. 'Image collector' Varda managed to show small but meaningful observations about the world around her in a loving tone: the magic of the everyday. Filming is her amor mundi, her love letter to the world.
