In Hilversum and the surrounding area, tens of thousands of households and (media) companies were without electricity for a short time on Friday morning. The power was out in Hilversum, Huizen, Bussum, Naarden, Blaricum, Laren and the surrounding area. Several media companies at the Media Park, including RTL and NOS, were affected by the disruption and worked on emergency power. The disruption was caused by a high-voltage station failure due to an unknown cause. The power outage has now been resolved.
