The Holland Animation Film Festival (HAFF) will be held again this year in Utrecht. Last year the festival was canceled and the director left after a "difference of opinion". The festival now collaborates with KLIK, an annual animation festival in Amsterdam. The HAFF is included in the Utrecht Cultural Memorandum 2017-2020, but could not take place last year. The reason was a difference of opinion between the then director and the board of the HAFF Foundation regarding the policy to be pursued.
