The filmmaker, who died on Friday January 25, was the best-known name from the heyday of Yugoslav cinema and made a name for himself with anarchist, pornographic films. When his best-known film, WR: Mysteries of the Organism, was banned in his home country in 1971, the short-lived boom of Yugoslav cinema known as the Black Wave was over.
