Production house Farmhouse TV & Film has ordered YouTube to pay €200,000 for illegally distributing the Dutch film Redbad. An illegal copy of the film, which was shown in Dutch cinemas last summer, has been viewed half a million times on YouTube in recent weeks. YouTube had also linked commercial breaks to the film. "In this way, YouTube has turned the illegal distribution of content into a revenue model," says producer Klaas de Jong.
